The Classroom
What students and families see, and how to view it yourself.
Open in TeachopolisThe Classroom is where your students and their parents or guardians go after signing in. It shows the classes, lessons, schedule, and messages you share with them.
Open the Classroom yourself
Click Classroom in the studio sidebar. Instructors see the same layout as learners, plus Studio and Help links to get back. It's a good way to check how your lessons look, or to take a class yourself.
What students see
- Home: their classes and courses (including each one-on-one student's private class), upcoming dates, and unread messages.
- Class pages: the class's lessons in your order. Lessons you haven't revealed show “Waiting for instructor to reveal”, and newly revealed lessons appear live. Courses that haven't started yet show their start date.
- Lessons: your content with next and previous links. Lessons can be downloaded as a PDF.
- Schedule: upcoming class dates, including cancellations, notes, directions, and meeting links.
- Emails and Chats: conversations with you. Learners can start an email about one of their classes, and chat with instructors of the classes they're enrolled in.
- Account: their profile, phone, and text message preferences.
What parents see
Parents see everything for themselves and their children, plus a Students page to manage each child:
- Edit the child's details and send them a login invite.
- Choose whether the child Can log in on their own.
- Turn email and chat with instructors on or off for the child.
Helping families get in
- Enroll the student in a class or course.
- Click Send welcome email on the class's Enrollment tab. It includes a sign-in link, and a set-password link for parents who are new to Teachopolis.
- If someone loses their link, send a new one with Send set-password link on their profile in My People.
Students and parents with their own login confirm their mobile number with a text code the first time they sign in. Children managed by a parent skip this step.
