Individuals

My People → Students is where you open students you teach one-on-one. You manage their lessons and session dates on each student's profile (Lessons and Schedule tabs)—not on a separate class page in Classes. Behind the scenes the app keeps a private class for enrollment and the Classroom; you never open it in the studio. You only see your own individual students, not other instructors'.

Add an individual student

A student has to be in your studio before you can teach them privately.

1. If they're new, add them first from My People → Students → Add student. See Adding a student.
2. Open the student from My People → Students and go to their Schedule tab to add dates (this sets up their private lessons behind the scenes).

Finding private students

From My People → Students, open a student and use the Schedule tab for their next lesson, upcoming sessions, and usual location.

Schedule sessions

Add or change session dates from:

• The student's Schedule tab on their profile (My People → Students).
• Quick schedule when you pick that student.

Click Add schedule and choose:

• Single date: one session. Pick the date, start time, length in minutes, and a location.
• Repeating dates: weekly days and times, for example every Tuesday at 4 PM, with a first and last date (up to 18 months). Set a Default location for the schedule.

To change one session, click Edit beside it. You can move the date or time, change the length or location, attach a Lesson from their class, and add Notes for students. Use Cancel date to cancel it (and Restore date to undo). One-off dates can also be deleted.

Lessons and reveal

Build and edit one-on-one lessons on the student's profile Lessons tab—same editor as a group class, but you stay on their student page.

• Use Create lesson to add lessons, click a title to edit, and reorder from the list (same workflow as a group class Lessons tab).
• On the Schedule tab, dates follow lesson order; edit a date to pin a different lesson.

The student profile

Every student profile has these tabs:

• Details: contact information, linked parents or guardians, set-password links, and private Instructor notes that students and parents never see.
• Lessons: create, edit, and reorder their one-on-one lessons (once they have a schedule).
• Classes and Courses: group classes and online courses they're enrolled in.
• Schedule: private lesson dates (repeating rules and single dates).
• Messages: emails and chats with the student and their parents.
