Library

Upload the images, videos, audio, and documents you use in lessons.

Open in Teachopolis

Library holds the images, videos, audio, and documents you use in lessons. Anything you upload from the lesson editor lands here too. Each instructor has their own library; other instructors in the studio do not see your files unless you share them.

Privacy

New uploads are private by default: only you can see them in your Library and use them in lessons until you share them.

When you Share a file, you choose who can open it in their Classroom Library. Saving share recipients makes the file visible to those people; it does not change who can see it inside your lesson content.

Share files

Open a file's menu or details panel and click Share to choose who can open it in their Classroom Library.

  • Person: search for a student, parent or guardian, or another instructor in your studio.
  • Audience: add everyone enrolled in a course, or everyone in a group from My People.

You can add several people, courses, and groups in one go. The dialog shows who already has access. Only you, as the file owner, can change sharing.

Student and parent Library

Students and parents open Library in the Classroom. They see files you shared with them, plus files they upload for your studio when uploads are allowed.

  • Parents and guardians can always upload to the Classroom Library for a studio where their child is a student (up to 100 MB total per parent account, 5 MB per file).
  • Students can upload only when a parent turns on Media library uploads on the child's profile under Students in the Classroom (same size limits as parents).
  • A parent and their child both enrolled in your studio can see each other's Library files for that studio, labeled Family, even if you did not share the file with them.
  • When a student or parent shares an upload, they pick which instructors can access it. You see those files in your studio Library with a Shared by … label.

Storage limits

A meter at the top of your Library shows how much of your allowance you have used. Instructors get 500 MB total across all library files, and each file must be 10 MB or smaller (whichever limit is stricter for that file type still applies).

Upload files

  1. Choose a tab: All files, Images, Videos, Audio, or Documents.
  2. Click Upload files or drag files onto the page.

Images, audio, and documents can be uploaded several at a time; videos one at a time.

Videos

The Library Videos tab

Give a video an optional title before uploading, for example “Scale practice demo”. Click Preview to watch it. To use a YouTube or Vimeo video instead, paste its link into a video block in the lesson editor; those links aren't stored in the Library.

Documents

The Library Documents tab with preview and download

PDFs can be previewed in place; Word documents open in a new tab. Every document has a Download button. In the lesson editor you can add a document as its own block or link text and buttons to it.

Audio

Each audio file has a player so you can check it. In lessons, students can play audio but not download it.

Use files in lessons

In the lesson editor, add an Image, Video, Audio, or Doc block and click Choose from library. Class and course images on the Marketing tab can come from the Library too.
